Guidance for those wishing to book a ceremony

Civil Ceremonies take place on any weekday afternoon throughout the year up to 5pm, and at any time during the weekends. Weddings can also be arranged on public holidays.

The civil ceremony can be customised to your taste with the addition of favourite music, love sonnets, poetry, and special readings – indeed anything that has special meaning for the occasion.

As soon as provisional arrangements for the date have been made with Forty Hall Banqueting you will need to contact the Superintendent Registrar for the London Borough of Enfield at Gentleman’s Row, Enfield, EN2 6PU. Telephone 020 8379 8501

Without the presence of the superintendent registrar and a registrar there can be no marriage and any arrangements for the use of the premises depend entirely on their availability. It is, therefore, essential that the couple make an advance booking with the superintendent registrar for their attendance at the proposed ceremony as soon as a booking can be accepted.

The civil ceremony must be non-religious. Any music, reading, words or performance that forms any part of the ceremony must be secular. The content of the ceremony must be agreed in advance with the superintendent registrar who will be attending the ceremony.
